Hi, I'm Mandii

I grew up on a small dairy farm among a tribe of kids, in a little place called Ravensbourne. I still love having the grass between my toes and the sun on my face. I am covered in freckles and more recently wrinkles. I met my husband while doing my Honours year in B App Science in another little place called Gatton. We both liked sharks, and I thought he was cute. I still think he's cute (despite his beard- that seems to have taken on an identity of it's own), and now he makes me a hot chocolate every night. How lucky am I? We have two gorgeous children, a boy and a girl. They are my whole world.

I love bright colours, gardening, sunflowers, old things, nature and big colourful necklaces.  I fall down but always get back up again, and I sometimes snort when I laugh and cry at sessions. Thankfully not at the same time.

I love to tell stories and capture emotion with my photography. This will influence your shoot. I love nose crinkles, belly laughs, small details and quiet moments. I won't be looking for cheese, and I certainly won't make you say it. I love the chance to show you how perfect your family is, just the way you are.

Whilst I use some posing, I avoid being too formal. I really like us to all have fun during your session. I often come home with grass in my hair, dirt on my clothes and a sparkle in my eye. And that is exactly how I want you to feel as well.

If you are looking for a family photographer in Brisbane and surrounds I'd love to hear from you. I have more than 8 years experience photographing families.  I was recently a finalist in the Find a Photographer Client Experience Awards. I was also awarded in the Rise International Photography Awards and my work was a finalist in the Shoot and Share International Photo Contest. But if none of that stuff matters to you - I'm also just a pretty nice person who is great with her camera.

I take on limited sessions each month to ensure everyone receives my complete attention. The video below shows a little behind the scenes.
